WHAT IS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE?

It is a pattern of abusive and coercive behaviors used by one person in a current or former relationship to gain power and control over their partner or ex-partner. In Arkansas, domestic violence, or"domestic abuse", consists of inflicting any of the following on a family or household member: physical harm, bodily injury, assault, or fear of imminent physical harm, bodily injury, or assault.
